Echinacea ‘Hot Summer’

This plant just breathes the dizzy heat of a hot London summer, despite its roots in the open groves and prairies of northern America.

I’m in the process of designing a planting plan for a hot border in an urban garden; the site is south-facing and narrow. The client loves oranges and reds, so this seemed very appropriate, especially as its seed heads will provide a bit of interest in the winter.
